Stress in the Workplace

Corporate Stress Workshops in your workplace to combat stress in the workplace.

Do you want employee productivity to increase?  Do you want employee sick days to decrease?

Everyone has stress in his or her lives in one-way or another. Did you know 90% or doctor visits are due to stress related problems and 80% of workers feel stressed in their job.   The total number of working days lost due to this condition in 2014/15 was 9.9 million days. This equated to an average of 23 days lost per case.

What is it costing you as an employer?

This is a serious employment issue which every employer in the UK should be concerned about.

I offer Stress workshops in the workplace.  I can come to your workplace to carry out a Stress Workshop which will educate your employees on how to recognise stress and anxiety.  They will look at what causes them stress at work and at home, identifying where perhaps they can modify lifestyle to reduce their stress levels. During the workshop we will look at coping strategies for managing stress and the difficult emotions stress can cause.  If you do nothing about stress, it just creates more stress – it can become a vicious cycle.

Once I have carried out a stress workshop in your workplace, I then offer individuals corporate rates for any sessions that they book with me on a one to one basis.

For every £1 you invest in staff well being, there is a return of £3 in improved efficiency and productivity. You can significantly improve working life for 20% of your staff, with all the knock-on benefits of reduced absenteeism and lower turnover.

By offering your staff/colleagues the chance to attend one of my Stress Therapy Workshops you are giving them the chance to learn how to recognize stress and how it impacts on their health and weight. In the workshop I will give sound advice and coping strategies as well as relaxation techniques to deal with stress on a daily basis.

The workshop lasts approximately one hour, the Agenda as follows:

Welcome and introduction

  • Stress facts
  • How to identify stress
  • Cortisol & Adrenaline – fight or flight
  • Stress Questionnaire
  • Recognising your stress triggers
  • Top 10 Stress busting tips
  • 7 Positives for a better life
  • Questions and answers
  • Relaxation visualisation

This is an informal workshop to help people become more educated about the impact of stress on them and how they can learn to cope and deal with the daily stress in their lives.

Please note that schools and businesses within the York outer ring road do not incur travel expenses.

With Hypnotherapy and self help techniques I teach clients, generally speaking they can make huge changes within a very short time.  4 weekly sessions can usually put a client in a good place to cope with their stress levels.  After that clients can have 6 weekly appointments until they feel that they are in total control of their life, have effective coping strategies in place to enable them to live a calmer, more relaxed life where they are in control of their emotions and actions.

People need to realise that they do not need to turn to medication for help.  Medication can ease the issues of stress and anxiety with the chance of side effects, but then when you come off the medication the stress and anxiety can return and be worse than it was in the first place.  There are no side effects from Hypnotherapy other than relaxation of mind and body.

I have successfully helped people from all over Yorkshire and beyond to change their lives and deal with daily stress in positive ways. (Testimonials are available to view on my testimonial page).

If your employees appear to be suffering with stress, be proactive rather than reactive.  If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always got.  Your staff will thank you for offering them the opportunity to take back control and learn to deal with stress effectively.
