World Suicide Prevention Day🎗️

In 2023, suicide rates in the UK showed some concerning trends. The overall rate for England and Wales saw increases across many regions.

The age group with the highest rate was 50 to 54 years, with males aged 45 to 49 having the highest rate among men and females aged 50 to 54 leading for women.

How to be calmer😌

Distressed to de-stressed!

Anxious and stressed to calm, confident and in control, easily and effortlessly. These are my top tips for how I live my life and they work so well.

Today is the only time you’re in control of time, be wise how you spend it. Don’t look to the past, you can’t change it. Worrying about the future just causes anxiety and stress. Live your life just for today.

Exercising on a daily basis benefits your physical and mental health. 30 minutes exercise for exercise sake, getting your heart rate elevated and slightly out of breath.

Eat only if you’re hungry, don’t force yourself to eat because it’s a meal time. Eat small healthy meals and more often if you are truly hungry. Tune into your body, listen to what it’s telling you. Stray hydrated with water, sometimes we mistake hunger when we are dehydrated.

Practise breathing from your stomach. Breathe in through your nose for a count of 4, hold for 2 and breathe out through your mouth for a count of 7 repeat up to 10 times.
This kind of breathing stimulates the vagus nerve and activates the relaxation response of the parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system.

Have a good night time routine and try to get 7 hours or more of sleep.

These 5 things have worked for me for over 25 years. They are simple and effective to put into place.

It’s that time of year again, September and it’s the start of autumn.

Mating season and the spiders start coming into our homes, and we run away screaming at the sight of them.

We all suffer with anxiety from time to time, but what if it’s getting too much?

Summer weight gain😩

Time is precious❗️

Time is what we want most, but what we use worst❗️

Lack of time is one of the things that causes a lot of stress and pressure in life. How often do you say “I don’t have enough time?

Time to spend with family and friends.
Time to relax and do nothing.
Time for a hobby.

Diets make you fat!
Why does dieting cause obesity? Blame the brain and its influence on emotional, hormonal, and neurochemical responses to dieting, deprivation, satiety, and shame.

Dieting is rarely effective, it doesn’t improve health, and it does more harm than good. It also programs you to obsess about food, binge and then beat yourself up. That negative cycle.

Research shows that the majority of people will gain back most of the weight they lose while dieting and will even end up weighing more than before.

Negative thinking is a b***h!

It causes all the negative feelings and sensations, racing heart and sweaty palms, headaches and sleepless nights.

You beat yourself up and you self sabotage frequently, and it stops you living life your best life.

All the what if’s, what might or may or could happen!!!!!!!

What if you didn’t have to react to the thoughts?

What if you realised you don’t actively choose those thoughts, you don’t go looking for them!?!
